Dol + Moss was born from a lifelong love of plants, quiet beauty, and the gentle magic found in gardens — even during the shortest growing seasons. But more than anything, it was inspired by one woman - my mom(-in-law).
She’s the one who showed me how to dig in, plant deeply, and find joy in every bloom — not just in the garden, but in life. The woman who taught me to see the world in seasons, textures, and color palettes. Everything I know about flowers, design, and the subtle art of creating beautiful spaces began with her.
The name Dol is drawn from dolce — the Italian word for soft, sweet, and graceful. A quiet tribute to her strength, her creativity, and the way she taught me to notice the beauty in even the smallest detail.
Moss was added because, like her, it thrives where others struggle — soft, steady, and resilient. It grows quietly, gracefully, and always finds a way. She’s the kindest woman I know, and she’s also tough as nails — a living example of what it means to grow with grace.
Together, Dol + Moss is more than a name. It’s a reflection of legacy, love, and the belief that gardens are not just landscaping — they’re stories. They’re memories. They’re joy.
